Hurricane Preparedness is REAL
As Hurricane Lane churned toward the Hawaiian islands last week, every property owner determined the degree of preparedness to realize. In the case of the Pacific Heights House, a two story historic wood framed structure perched over 500 feet above sea level, the decision was made to install a custom window protection system, which was designed, procured and installed in 3.5 days. Translucent corrugated PVC panels cut to overlay existing openings and secured with Velcro, over-sized washers and screws to window casing is pictured here. Thankfully, Lane was weakened off shore by wind shear and this house now has a ready-made system for future events.
